This privacy policy explains how we process personal data when you use our smartphone application “Birds: Relationsverktyg” (the “App”). Please read this policy before using the App.
We may update this policy, for example if new features are added or changed in the App. When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this document will be revised. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
Personal information collected about you
We only collect the information necessary to provide the App. When you use the App, the following types of data may be processed:
Account Information
When you create an account in the App you provide typical login details such as email.
Profile and Exercises
You may choose to provide additional information in the App, such as personality-related or relationship-related data. Some of the information you choose to provide may constitute sensitive personal data under GDPR (for example, data relating to emotional well-being, relationships, or personal experiences).
To use the App, you are required to provide your explicit consent to the processing of such sensitive personal data. This consent is requested when you create an account or begin using the App and can be withdrawn at any time.
For certain features (for example, uploading photos), you may choose to grant the App access to your camera or photo library.
Feedback & support
If you choose to give us feedback or request support in the app your responses are collected.
Technical data
When you use the App, technical information is collected, such as:
– your interactions with the App (e.g., time spent, clicks, exercises used)
– device information from your mobile device (e.g., IP address, device ID and type, operating system, language, and approximate location such as city)
– mobile network and connection details
How your data is used
Your data is used to provide, develop, and improve the App and to ensure a secure and relevant user experience. For example, we use your data to:
– create and manage your account
– provide app features and exercises
– offer support and respond to inquiries
– send important notifications (e.g., password reset requests)

Legal basis for processing
We process personal data based on the following legal grounds:
Contract / Provision of the App
To create your account, manage your user profile, and provide app features.
Legitimate interests
To improve the App, provide support, and communicate important information.
Explicit Consent (sensitive personal data)
Processing of any sensitive personal data that you choose to enter in the App is carried out only with your explicit consent, in accordance with Article 9 of the GDPR.
You are not required to provide any specific information in the App. However, because the App’s core functionality is based on user-entered information, providing consent to the processing of such data is necessary in order to use the App.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. If you do so, we will no longer be able to provide the App, and your personal data will be deleted in accordance with applicable law.
Storage
App data is stored within the EU/EEA.
Storage period
Personal data is only retained for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. If you do not use the App for 12 months, your account will be automatically deleted. You may also request deletion at any time.
If your account is linked to a partner, only one of you needs to remain active within the last year for both accounts to be considered active.
How we protect your data
We take active measures to protect your data from unauthorised access. We use encryption, regularly review our systems, and apply technical and organisational safeguards. Although no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we continuously work to maintain a high level of security.
Sharing your personal data
We never sell personal data. Data is only shared when it is necessary to provide the App or when required by law.
Your data may be shared with:
– Your partner – only if your accounts are linked and you actively choose to share data
– Our staff – only when needed to support or develop the App

Mandrill is certified according to industry security standards and complies with the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Emails sent via Mandrill are automatically deleted from their system after 90 days.
